Devils Dance #2: The Greatest Swerve All Time, All Our Lives Part 2 AKA The Meltdown Before The Crash and Beyond!
Reported on Wednesday, July 18 2007
After his gruelling match with Deacon at Cyberslam VI many fans speculated that following the Alter Call off the top of the Submit Or Surrender cage Craig Miles’ career would be deemed over however following this event many strange happenings began to occur on FWO programming: the formation of a new band of Dark Riders comprised of Scott Wasner, Primetime (real name withheld by request) and Donaven Winters had begun a chaotic reign of terror however speculation had begun that the member known as War would be making an appearance particularly as Deacon had begun to hear Dear Prudence accompanied by fire at the various programs leading up to Meltdown…
Meltdown: A shocking coup by the Disney appointed lawyer Simon Cowl led to Craig and Nixon Miles making an appearance to sign the rights to the Professional Heel Academy away, what shocked many fans and members of the roster as stated by Ric Chronos in his shoot interview (many members of the roster did shoot interviews after FWO’s closure mostly to keep the legacy alive but partly 4 money…) that Miles ‘looked like someone close to death only being kept alive by determination and Nixon’ but what many people couldn’t predict was the next night events…
The last 20 mins of the Monday Night Ruahh following Meltdown has been stated by many fans as the best non PPV segment of 2004 as the schism of the Dark Riders as a brutal assault was taken on Winters and Primetime by Death and a masked individual… War had been revealed as Craig Miles with only minor injuries sustained (Hospital records were obtained that revealed he had been discharged the day after admittance by Donaven Winters) and that Miles had been behind a number of attacks during the Meltdown event on Alias, Brand Frontier and Kodiak Vic Creed.
The idea behind Miles’ new stance together with Nick Brandish, Scotty J Bowman, Vince Jacobs, Jonathan Gianni and Survivor IV winner Matthew Wakeman was to remove Disney from any stranglehold over the FWO by the year’s end which led to numerous battles against Brand Frontier, Alias, Kodiak and Alex Creed.
Meanwhile in NFW a mysterious person called El Toro had shown up to combat the individuals of Wasp and the Highwayman, many speculated that it could be the man GUNS who originally took that mantle in CSWA however two shows later all three identities would be revealed at the Crashmas PPV: during a segment where former co-owner Quentin Sullivan was announcing the buyout of the NFW East to the FZM Council Of Elders, Avery Prosser brought back Anne Mystic to a national capacity and revealed that there was a vote seemingly overruling the FZM Council and that the UWA would be returning in 2006 however El Toro revealed that Manson had terminated his vote by resigning as commissioner to create the East so Quentin plus Toro’s vote led to a win 4 Japan!
Following Toro’s revelation he was ambushed by Marcus Cameron, the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Seven Deadly Sins, Avery, Highwayman and Wasp in a beat down inside a cage… el Toro had been unmasked as Craig Miles, Highwayman (the second person to use it as Eddy Love had been revealed during All-Star Week) as Troy Windham and Wasp as Eddie Mayfield… Craig’s old partner from CSWA who revealed he had begun the kidnapping of Nixon the reason being he was sick of Craig stealing his gimmick and worse in his mind being inferior at it!
Miles’ revenge would begin to take shape at Wrestlebowl 1 in which he recruited Deacon, Eli Flair and Mike Randalls (who had ended a rebirth as Phoenix in Action! And The Squared Circle) to fight against the man who had manipulated all four and in Eli’s case to get revenge and closure against Windham…
So that brings us up to Season 2, the 2nd week starting a game of cat and mouse between Eddie, Craig, Troy, Tom Adler and others, throughout the season Miles had begun to an obsession over Mayfield attacking those closest such as Sullivan and creating concepts such as the 2nd chances Demolition Derby (Cow Palace Chaos!) .
Mayfield had also lost sight in one eye during a non-televised UWA PPV in which he was exiled leading to ‘3’.
After near 2 hours of pain it led to what no one thought would ever happen : the reunion of the P-R-O’s and 2 revealation over the course of Wrestlebowl II: Nixon was never Miles’ wife and that Troy’s aborted child rumours throughout the years were true and the reason for all the manipulation: to prove NFW as the overall king…
The reverberations of this can only remain to be seen… Late July Version 3 begins, sit back and enjoy the ride…
