Season Pass

Trade/Signing Rumous

Reported on Friday, March 31 2006

With the regular season getting cut two weeks, the offices of Quentin Sullivan and Susano-O-No-Mikoto will be tying up the phone lines plenty this week. Dirtsheets are reporting that Mikoto is wishing to trade either Jonathan Marx, Dan Ryan or Lindsay Troy in hopes of diffusing some behind-the-scenes issues. Meanwhile, a bevy of wrestlers are being rumoured as last-minute additions to the rosters.

Now that the Survivor Series and Hulk-A-Thon have aired, promoters and officials for both events were very candid about the on-air beefs not being approved by either Mikoto or Sullivan. Dirty laundry stemming from other federations aired themselves out in volatile ways over the time leading up to the shows. Whether or not, ESEN Head Honcho Craig Miles wants to admit it or not; the prospect of another interconference show in Week 12 could've turned alot of hairs gray...and maybe that was a primary reason for shortening the season.

Susano-O-No-Mikoto has confirmed to Japanese press that he's looking into making a trade with the Western Conference, but isn't willing to part with anyone steering clear of the Dan Ryan/Jonathan Marx situation. He also admitted to trying to meet with Shane Southern in hopes of signing him, but Southern's charity work has made the scheduling difficult.

...but not difficult enough for Southern to meet with Quentin Sullivan. It seems that Sullivan flew out to New Orleans himself to apologize for the Michael Manson visit as well as discuss some possible business.

Sullivan returned a phone call today for once, laughing about the rumours regarding the Southern visit. "I was just there to apologize, Shane knows that if he wants to wrestle in NFW the door is always open."

Asked if he'd been talking to other wrestlers recently, Sullivan smiled, "We've gotten more than our fair share of applications, and we've just given a temporary tryout to two possible talents in Malik Roland and Andy Johnson. I won't lie though, I've talked to several wrestlers from NFW's past besides Southern recently, in hopes of getting them in here for the playoffs run."

Of course, when asked who...Sullivan wouldn't answer...directly.

"One of our past veterans, I'd be interested in bringing back to the East...and a few guys I think could've made a dent, but problems happen...and they didn't when their time came. Everyone should get second chances, its the third ones that are rare."
